Cancer Support Group

Most people are fearful of one day receiving the news that they have cancer. Sadly, for many women when this happens, they do not have the support they need. There is usually a sense of disbelief at the diagnosis of cancer and most women go into a state of shock. For many, it is unclear where they can go to receive the emotional support they need to navigate this tumultuous time. The Cancer Support Group is for women who have been diagnosed with cancer, or are in remission and are fearful of the cancer returning. The group will provide a safe and loving environment where women can discuss their fears surrounding their illness and receive support from others going through a similar experience. Women will be taught stress management techniques as well as self hypnosis to improve their prognosis and aid them in their recovery.
